Bigness

well....

back in 03, our family got invited to go to the beach and stay with some friends.
i was VERY happy. why?
i had NEVER been.
i was 28 at the time.

when we got to the beach house, i grabbed my camera, jumped out of the truck, left my husband and kids behind and ran...and ran...and ran (running in the sand is HARD! lol)
having never seeing the vastness of the ocean, i was a bit overwhelmed. it was just...so...BIG. it nearly took my breath away. it was a beautiful moment..i will never forget.

but anyway, this is my first ever photo of the first ever beach i got to visit. :)
needless to say, i enjoyed myself those few days i was there.

oh yeah! this is in fort morgan, alabama. it's just a ferry ride away from dauphin island. we stayed about a 1/2 mile from the fort in a nice beach house. and since it's a private area, the beach was nearly empty when we got there! and this was in the summer. :)
